BEFORE

Sarah is with us in Chicago, but as a classic LA kid, she has no overcoat. It is sooooo cold here that, despite being April 9th, there were snow flurries today. So... we set out to get Sarah an overcoat at Filene's.

Democracy in Action

Sarah holds forth on the political and scientific issues underlying global warming, in particular its effects on the polar bear population. It is Democracy in Action night, the exhibitions for the capstone political action project that has involved English and social studies classes for the past three months.

He liked the cheesecake

Yeah, it's AERA time again. >sigh< Anyhow, it's in Chicago. We ate dinner at the Capitol Grill. Good steaks, no duh, but Don liked the cheesecake.

Disney Hall

My mom and I are now taking in monthly concerts at Disney Hall. Great place to hear music!

Lakewood Station

When I can, I ride the trains. I took the green line in to meet with Pat in Norwalk. I thought this was a cool decoration for the station. I guess the community came down and did hands and feet in cement or something. Dunno.

Jack

We were sitting in my office feeling good about the curric. revisions we designed. (Now we have to fill in the details.)

Dr. Office at 5:30 p.m.

Yeah, it's just the doctor and us. Actually we didn't even get in to see him till 6 pm and we didn't get out of there till 6:45 pm. Kids! Arg!

Kitchen Science

Crappy shot, my bad. The battery was dying on the phone and I wanted to grab the shot. Sar. is making glue from milk, vineagar and baking soda. It came out pretty well, surprisingly. It actually worked like glue.
